Eligibility

You can apply for an eTA if you:

1. Hold a valid Bahamian passport;
2. Fly to—or transit through—a Canadian airport (land/sea travellers do not need an eTA);
3. Have no serious criminal or immigration violations;
4. Have an email address.

The Bahamas is on Canada’s visa-exempt / eTA-eligible list.

Required Documents & Information

1. Passport biodata page (number, issue/expiry dates).
2. Email address to receive the approval message.

(No uploads are normally requested, but IRCC may later ask for supporting documents in rare cases.)

 Application Steps

1. Online form – Baha Visa enters your passport details into the IRCC eTA portal.
2. Pay Fee – processed instantly by the Government of Canada.
3. Receive email decision – most arrive within minutes; some within a few days.
4. Link confirmed – we email your approval PDF; double-check the passport number.
5. Board your flight – present the same passport; airline staff automatically see the eTA in their system.
