Eligibility

You can apply for an e-Visa if you:

1. Hold a passport valid for at least six months beyond your arrival date;
2. Are a national of a country that requires a visa to enter The Bahamas;
3. Plan to stay 90 days or less and will not take up employment;
4. Can show sufficient funds and a return or onward ticket.

4 · Required Documents

1. Passport biodata page (colour scan) – validity ≥ 6 months.
2. One  recent passport-style photo on a white background. 
3. Bank statement or bank reference letter (last 3 months) proving funds.
4. Job letter / business licence (for self-employed) or school letter. 
5. Police certificate (issued within six months). 
6. Medical certificate (issued within six months). 
7. Original Birth Certificate when applying for a child 
8. Hotel or cruise itinerary or invitation letter from host. 
9. Flight itinerary / ticket copy.
10. Copies of previous Bahamas or other visas (if any).
11. invitation letter from Bahamian host if applying for a Sponsored Visa
12. All documents MUST be translated into English and certified.

5 · Application Steps

1. Online application – complete the e-Visa form and upload all documents.
2. Secure payment – pay the US $160 consular fee by credit/debit card.
3. Document review – Bahamas consular officers verify your submission.
4. Approval e-mail – receive your PDF visa (download or print).
5. Arrive in The Bahamas – present passport + e-Visa to Border Management.
